Senior Director, Production

About the Role

As the Senior Director, Production, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Product Team in the supply chain and production of CUUP product. This dynamic role includes owning communication with mills and factories, managing and negotiating contracts, and building a strong vendor support matrix. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience managing production for intimates, has strong project management skills, and is a problem-solver.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Production functions, supplier onboarding, as well as cross-functional collaboration to drive quality product, delivered on time
  • Proactively communicates to mills and factories seasonal projections, negotiates required key delivery dates, and generic TNA early in the season to ensure the proper planning and staging of the programs, ahead of order placement
  • Responsible for costing negotiation at program level, and for driving best costs.
  • Thorough understanding of cost component breakdown
  • Build and establish a strong vendor matrix to support long term business needs, product roadmap, and design vision
  • Responsible for program placement with overseas mills, factories, and offices in a timely manner, with proper program specific TNAs and with the right capacity allocation and production planning, to meet deliveries
  • Leads the cross-functional team in the execution and adherence to program specific production TNAs
  • Proactively elevates production issues to determine possible impact to deliveries.
  • Partners with Planning Team to ensure proper support of the business at the right level of stock.
  • Owns updating and communicating monthly program specific capacity plans to factories and mills, addressing and elevating issues with factory loading or capacity issues as needed.
  • Evaluates production issues to determine possible impact to deliveries.
  • Facilitates and leads the cross-functional decision-making required to evaluate quality levels found during production, and required changes to ship modes to support customer deliveries.
  • Partnership with Domestic and Offshore QA Teams.
  • Proactively communicates intended program allocation before placement, and champions the adherence to critical QA steps before, during and at the end of production, to ensure products arrive at the Distribution Center with “no” quality control issues thus enabling all customers orders to ship “ON-TIME”.
  • Responsible for the timely update of POs
  • Enforces the practice of timely bookings by factories, and responsible for the approval of correct vessel schedules, in line with customer deliveries.
  • Works with Management on improvement of process flow, and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Create and maintain delivery reports for weekly review with team.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years’ experience in apparel Production, Supply Chain, Compliance, and QA
  • Experience working in the intimates space and supply chain (RM Suppliers + Factories)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bra manufacturing, and quality control
  • Exceptionally strong management, problem solving, and negotiating skills
  • Highly detail oriented, with strong follow up, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, manage, and maintain factory supplier relations and communications effectively
  • Thorough understanding of costing, supply chain management, allocation, compliance
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally between design, product development, tech, merchandising + planning, logistics, warehouse, e-com

Senior Manager, Creative Production

About The Role

CUUP is seeking a talented Senior Manager of Creative Production to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll partner with our first-in-class brand and creative teams in the production, organization and internal distribution of all CUUP creative assets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end production on all photo and video shoots (ecom, creative, paid and editorial), including but not limited to: generating shoot estimates, hiring crew, casting and optioning talent, booking locations, coordinating travel, managing freelance production support, maintaining COVID safety, managing post-production, tracking campaign usage, and submitting invoices
  • Act as close partner to creative team with model / team suggestions and solutions
  • Identify and develop relationships with established and emerging talent including photographers, models, agents, DPs and editors, arranging for meet & greets with the Creative team when appropriate
  • Spearhead CUUP casting program, always looking for new and exciting talent, whilst also maintaining close relationships within the industry
  • Act as a strategic partner for the Creative team, identifying budget and strategizing/producing content franchises
  • Define yearly and quarterly shoot production calendars
  • Forecast upcoming projects, working with Sr. Director of Creative Operations & Strategy for final approval
  • Closely track budgets and provide recaps of overages/underages offering insight on how to ensure each quarter hits target budget.
  • Oversee communication of campaign timelines, project deliverables, and resourcing needs with the creative team, internal/ external stakeholders
  • Maintain current and up to date knowledge of industry and zeitgeist
  • Attend domestic and international photo shoots as on-set producer, or assign and oversee freelance support when necessary
  • Collaborate with Sr. Director of Creative Operations & Strategy on all special projects and assisting on all large-scale productions
  • Support Product team in identifying and casting brand appropriate fit models
  • Run production status meetings and maintain clear production updates to ensure all team members are apprised of shoot status and shoots are tracking efficiently
  • Manage and track image usage and rights, pulling down images or extending usage when necessary
  • Prepared and able to manage and mentor junior team members as needs arise .

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of photo and video production experience (in-house experience is preferred)
  • Intimate knowledge of production terminology and process
  • Acute understanding of creative process and development
  • Creative problem solver
  • Ability to meticulously manage budget
  • Strong experience and relationships with sourcing/hiring crew and talent
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and able to quickly transition from one project to another
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster inter-departmental relationships
  • Excellent communication skills - confident and articulate when it comes to negotiating contracts and rates
  • Deep familiarity with the CUUP aesthetic and consumer
  • Confident working remotely, extensive knowledge surrounding COVID regulations and shoots

About The Role

CUUP is seeking a talented Senior Art Director to join our growing team. In this role, you will partner with the Creative Director to own and iterate on the brand 360 visual identity and photo direction for multi-channel campaigns that touch all areas of the customer journey—including site experience, ecommerce, email marketing, digital advertising, video, social, events and more.

Responsibilities

  • Develop culturally relevant creative executions that meet our business and brand objectives and elicit emotional reaction from our customers
  • Partner with Creative Director to conceptualize and execute campaign concepts to gain leadership alignment on creative and strategy
  • Own and oversee work through lifecycle of project—concept, development, refinement, execution
  • Represent and and rationalize own and team’s work in creative shares and presentations
  • Oversee multiple creative projects at the same time, for self and team
  • Partner with Senior Director Creative Ops to serve as daily support in navigating and synthesizing creative feedback, adhering to timelines, balancing priorities and refining strategies
  • Partner with CD to act as brand filter and quality control for all team’s work
  • Evaluate creative team performance and guide improvements
  • Partner with design, PR, styling, digital & brand marketing, strategy, editorial teams to inform creative approaches
  • Liaise and collaborate with Growth Marketing , Production, Creative Operations, marketing, and site merch teams through lifecycle of projects

Qualifications

  • An innovative and conceptual creator, skilled at merging art with commerce
  • You have a compelling portfolio of distinctive work with elevated brand expressions
  • A deep knowledge of fashion, image making, and branding with a highly refined sensibility
  • Experience concepting and directing video and moving image, digital storytelling
  • Passion for pop culture, trends in social media, understanding of landscape and performance drivers
  • Up-to-date knowledge of creative best practices for relevant digital formats
  • Inspiring leader with the ability to both mentor and manage
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly and articulately explain your rationale and evoke excitement with your recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally—especially with marketing, strategy and ecommerce
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment where deadlines, priorities, and initiatives pivot frequently

  • 8+ years of art direction / design / creative experience, retail or luxury experience preferred
  • 3+ years of management experience

About the Role

CUUP is seeking a talented Business Insights Associate to join our growing team. We’re searching for someone with strong analytical prowess, who will work closely with stakeholders across the company as part of CUUP’s business intelligence team. The role is ideal for someone who wants to get broad exposure to all relevant functions in a startup as he or she will collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative, Product, and Finance and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with CUUP stakeholders to develop strategic and actionable insights through data-driven analysis
  • Monitoring and reporting on key business metrics (KPIs), company performance, customer site behavior, purchase journeys and the results of strategic initiatives
  • Assisting different departments across CUUP with their analytical needs, projects and data requests
  • Optimizing and maintaining existing BI tools, reports and company dashboards (weekly and monthly)
  • Working with outsourced data engineers to build new data models and additional reports

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience at a tier I investment bank or consulting firm, or related work experience at a startup
    • A curious, strategic thinker who sees the big picture and can turn analysis into takeaways and recommendations
    • Well-versed in data presentation, analysis and interpretation
    • Ability to communicate effectively as well as collaborate and build trust with business partners across the organization
    • A team player with a strong work ethic who is ready to hustle and pitch in wherever necessary
    • A fast learner and self-starter, who can get up to speed on CUUP’s BI tools and data models quickly (experience with Looker, SQL and DBT highly preferred, but not required)
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science)
