THE FIT EXPERIENCE

Finding the right bra is hard. We’re here to help. From learning about our one-on-one virtual fittings to how to fit at home, everything you need is right here.

Fitting At Home

Can’t schedule a fitting right now? Find your CUUP size at home with the help of our four-step guide – and once your bra has arrived, follow our fit checklist to make sure you’re in the right fit. If you have any questions, our Fit Therapists are only a video call away.

How to fit yourself

Measuring yourself isn’t as difficult as you’d think. All you need is an unlined bra and soft measuring tape, or a ribbon and a ruler.

Step 1

To begin, wrap the measuring tape or ribbon around your ribcage where your bra band lays. Measure your underbust to the nearest ¼ inch.

Step 2

Use the above chart to find your CUUP band.

Step 3

Loop the tape around your back, then up around the fullest part of your bust. Measure to the nearest ¼ inch. This will help you find your cup measurement for the next step.

Step 4

Subtract your band from your bust measurement and use the chart above to find your cup size. Note: If the difference ends in .5, you can size up.

Fit Fact

The bands on our Mesh bras (the Balconette, the Plunge & the Demi) will fit more snugly due to fabric composition that prevents them from over-stretching.

SISTER SIZING

DIFFERENT SIZE THAN WHAT YOU EXPECTED? LEARN MORE ABOUT SISTER SIZING.

WHAT IS SISTER SIZING?

Every bra size has a ‘sister size.’ It’s the family of alternate sizes that share cup volume, but have different band circumferences. Think about it this way: when you go up or down in band size, it adjusts the length of the underwire and your cup size. Knowing your sister size will help you find the best-feeling fit in every style.

WHEN SHOULD I USE MY SISTER SIZE?

Sometimes the perfect fit doesn’t translate to the same size across multiple bra styles. For example, if your cups fit comfortably but your band feels too tight or loose – that’s where sister sizing comes in.

HOW DOES SISTER SIZING WORK?

When the band size goes up, the cup size goes down – and vice versa. If you’re a 36C, you might also like the fit of a 38B or a 34D, depending on the style and your preference.

Follow our sister sizing chart below to find your alternative size. Still have questions? Talk to our Fit Therapists.

How does the perfect fit feel?

Follow our fit check-in once you’re in your new bra.

IF YOUR BRA IS SNUG TO START, DON’T WORRY.

At first, your CUUP bra should fit more snugly in the band than you might expect. If it’s too loose, you won’t get the support you need. Keep in mind that Mesh styles wear differently over time than Satin and Micro styles.

Fit Tip: Our Fit Therapists recommend wearing your Mesh bras (the Balconette, the Plunge & the Demi) at home for the day to give your band time to adjust to your form. If the fit isn’t right after that, you can reach out to start an exchange.

WHY YOU SHOULD START ON THE LOOSEST HOOK.

Your band will grow looser over time, so make sure you start with a snug fit on the loosest hook – you can dial in as it stretches out.

HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR CUPS FIT.

Some of our styles can create a natural swell effect at first, which will go away as the cups form to your body. But if the top seams of your bra’s cups are creating an indent that can be seen through a shirt, you may need a larger cup size.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BAND > Straps.

The band is the anchor of the bra’s support system and should provide most of the support. The straps are used to adjust for natural discrepancies in the size and shape of your two sister boobs.

HOW TO ADJUST ACCORDINGLY.

Even once you’re in the perfect size, your boobs might need a little adjustment. Always make sure your breast tissue is sitting within the wires – no poking, pinching or pulling.
