CUUP Bra Recycling
We support more responsible refreshes of your underwear drawer and with our new program, time-to-be-replaced bras can be recycled via our partner B.R.A. Recycling Agency.
How it works:
- Place clean, time-to-be-replaced bras into the CUUP Bra Recycling Envelope and take the envelope to your local post office for accurate postage.
- Any brand of bra can be included in your envelope.
- Once postage is added, drop your envelope in the mail. The envelope will be sent to an approved recycling facility.
- Envelopes will not be accepted without proper postage - prices will vary by weight and location.
What happens to the items I send in to be recycled?
Your bras and underwear will be finely shredded, and any metal components will be separated out. The shredded fabric will ultimately be used to make carpet padding. The metal will be sold to a metal recycling facility and the proceeds of the metal sales will be donated to support Breast Cancer research. Can I send in any brand of bras?
Yes! You can include any brand within your return envelope - just be considerate and make sure it’s clean.
Can I send in items besides bras?
Our recycling program is solely focused on bras at this time.
How much will it cost to send in my items?
Costs will vary depending on weight and location. We encourage you to take your envelope to a local post office for accurate pricing. If you have a small scale, you can also print out postage at home!
